Encoded and rare

The encoded email finished with "666 7273 766624437". Using the intended decyphering technique of typing the message into a mobile phone presented the predictive, and unintended, text "non rare roomchidp"...

If you are very quiet, and watch patiently, you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Rare Roomchidp.

Few people have seen the secretive creature, rumoured to have a complex camouflage allowing it to masquerade as the more widely seen Smoochies.

Often confused with the Common Roomchidp, the Rare Roomchidp is, in fact, very different from its cousin.

So uncommon is the Rare Roomchidp that the black market price can be upwards of $100,000 for just one specimen.

Adding to the mystery are the ever increasing YouTube hoax videos purporting to be footage of the Rare Roomchidp. Grainy, out of focus, or just a blatant spoof, these videos are giving the creature an almost cult like status on the internet.

Scientists remain baffled by the elusive Rare Roomchidp. What is known is that very little is known. With none ever having existed in captivity, these fascinating creatures are truly unique.
